Dr. Nicholas Nonas, a son of Greek immigrants, was raised in Iowa and graduated from Grinnell College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. He continued his studies at the University of Iowa where he received his M.D. After completing his internship at St. Luke’s Hospital he served two years as General Medical Officer with the United States Air Force (USAF), where he received credit toward his Family Practice Residency. Following his Allergy experience in the USAF clinic and additional training with the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA), he received his Affiliate Fellowship (AAOA).
Boarded in Family Medicine, he continued in a private practice in Englewood from 1973-1980. After spending time in family medicine, he opened up and developed an Allergy private practice in the South Denver and has been helping patients with their allergies ever since. Additionally, from 1998 – 2001 he served as Colorado Medical Director for American WholeHealth (a national, integrated medicine practice).
Dr. Nonas specializes in allergy diagnosis and treatment, asthma management, treatment of chronic sinusitis and gastrointestinal dysfunction related to food and other allergies.
If you can’t find Dr. Nonas in the office, you will find him in Keystone. He cherishes spending time with his wife, their five children, and six grandchildren. He also enjoys hiking, travelling, and walking the family dog. Coming from strong Iowa roots, baseball remains a major tradition. He has played and supported many baseball organizations and remains a Colorado Rockies fan.
