Heather Whiting is a nationally board certified Physician Assistant. She began her pursuit of a career in medicine at the University of Northern Colorado where she earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Human Biology. Her Master’s project focused on the pharmacological characterization of novel pain relieving compounds. Upon graduation, Heather worked at the University of Colorado Hospital as a Rehab Therapy Technician. She then entered a rigorous 24-month Physician Assistant program at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Colorado. She graduated from the program with honors and earned a second Master’s degree, a Master’s of Medical Science from Saint Francis University.
As a Physician Assistant, Heather is trained in several medical disciplines (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Geriatrics, Surgery, Cardiology, and Emergency Medicine) and is qualified to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in many settings. Heather is very passionate about medicine and has special interest in disease prevention, health promotion, patient education, women’s health, and geriatrics.
Heather is a native of Colorado and loves spending time with her husband and sons. She also enjoys camping, hiking, biking, and participating in many team sports.
