Connie Presson, L. A-c, Dipl OM

Acupuncturist, Herbalist

Connie Presson attended school at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine located in Denver, CO. There, she received her Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), which includes both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She is licensed to practice Acupuncture in the state of Colorado. Connie is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado.

Connie also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Anthropology from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. She worked as an Environmental Educator prior to attending acupuncture school and has a deep appreciation for the natural world.

Connie enjoys sharing her own experiences with acupuncture and herbs with others, whether they are friends, family, or patients. Her background in education lends her the ability to instruct others on treatment, lifestyle, and diet. Connie also has a background in Ecology. So, she likes to think of the human body as a microcosm, with an ecology of its own. When the body’s internal ecosystem gets out of balance, disease is the result. Her treatments focus on bringing the body’s ecology back into balance. She also appreciates the concept of Synergy, where using multiple modalities of treatment work together to achieve results greater than the sum of their parts. Connie may use different acupuncture techniques together with herbs, cupping, or tui na to attain a synergistic effect.

Connie enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, good food, and spending time with friends and family.
